Öya—meaning "get ready"—is a bold new vodka brand distilled from West African honey, embodying the high-energy spirit of Lagos. This premium vodka is designed for those who embrace spontaneity, adventure, and the thrill of the night ahead. Crisp and invigorating, Öya sets the tone for unforgettable moments. The branding and packaging design for Öya Vodka were inspired by the spirit of movement, the pulse of Lagos nightlife, and the rich cultural heritage of West Africa. The goal was to create a bold, contemporary, and energetic identity that reflects the exhilarating experience of drinking Öya.
Logo: A raw, textured, and minimalist logotype that embodies authenticity and a sense of handcrafted quality. Subtle imperfections and organic textures reflect the natural honey distillation process and add depth to the brand’s identity.
Bottle design: Colour variations are earthy yet vibrant —deep golds, fiery oranges, and clean blues—representing West African sunsets, dance, and the electric energy of Lagos. A graphic pattern inspired by the movement of dance, featuring fluid, sweeping lines and abstract shapes that mirror the rhythmic energy of Afrobeats.
